ICAS launches CA Connect, an exclusive member networking tool

ICAS has launched CA Connect, a new community engagement and events booking platform for members.
As part of an ongoing refresh to the digital offerings at ICAS, the CA Connect platform is a new and improved way for members to connect and interact with each other.
CA Connect will provide an online community exclusively for ICAS members where they can network with each other, share news, take part in debates around key issues for CAs and form special interest groups and networks.
CAs will be able to build and customise their personal CA Connect profile, indicating their areas of skill and interest, making it simple for CAs to link up with likeminded members.
New event booking platform
CA Connect is also where members will find a new look and streamlined event booking service. This update will make it even easier for ICAS members to sign up to the events that interest them.
Member news feed
This is the news feed where users can share news stories, arrange pre-event meetups and comment on each other’s posts.
Member search function
The member section of the platform is where CAs can view the profiles of other members who are using CA Connect.
The search function will allow users to find a specific CA by name, search a company to see members working there or look for members with a specific skill set or interest.
Mentoring is a fantastic way established CAs can help shape the future of the profession by taking on mentees. Through CA Connect members will be able to clearly indicate that they are part of the ICAS mentoring programme and that they are happy to be contacted by prospective mentees.
Bruce Cartwright CA, ICAS CEO, said: “There has been a lot of exciting and innovative activity going on behind the scenes at ICAS lately, and members should be starting to notice that work in the form of our new digital offerings.
“CA Connect is one of them and is very much a platform for CAs, by CAs. It was clear from listening to our members that they wanted an easy and secure way to connect with fellow CAs, giving them a space where they can safely share experiences, pose questions and deepen the sense of community that comes with being an ICAS Chartered Accountant.
“I look forward to taking part in what I’m sure will be fascinating discussions and debate on the new CA Connect platform.”
